About the role

The Clinical Facilitator plans and delivers training and development interventions to ensure all nursing staff maintain required competencies. The role may be assigned to a specialist unit such as ICU or operate across multiple nursing units within the hospital.

Key responsibilities

Develop the competence of all nursing staff.
Ensure correct application of nursing procedures and policies.
Identify training needs and design appropriate clinical training interventions.
Promote a culture of continuous professional development.

Required profile

Professional Nurse qualification.
Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education, or 3 years mentor experience plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing for specialist units.
Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience in a hospital.
At least 1 year of mentor experience.

Required skills

Continuous improvement methodologies.
Facilitation and assessment skills.
Knowledge of relevant legislation.
Infection prevention and control.
Computer literacy (MS Office).
Nursing processes and procedures.
Clinical risk management.
