Clinical Application Support Specialist

About the role

The Clinical Application Support Specialist will support the implementation and adoption of the Care On electronic medical records system across Netcare hospitals. The role focuses on assisting nursing and pharmacy end‑users, ensuring efficient, high‑quality clinical patient care while aligning with Netcare’s person‑centred health strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day user guidance, troubleshooting, and support for the Care On EMR system, adhering to SLA turnaround times.
• Log and escalate unresolved issues via Sigma, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and follow up until resolution.
• Conduct training sessions, develop training materials, and deliver on‑site and remote coaching for nursing and pharmacy teams.
• Analyze workflow processes, generate system reports, and recommend improvements to enhance patient services.
• Travel to multiple hospital sites, work shift patterns including weekends, and act as the primary liaison between end‑users and technical teams.

Required profile

• Experience supporting clinical end‑users such as nursing and pharmacy staff.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and travel to different hospital locations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams.
