About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Westcliff in Johannesburg is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead its kitchen team. This senior culinary position will shape the dining experience for guests and residents, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and service.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect the hotel’s luxury positioning.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
- Collaborate with the food‑and‑wine team to create cohesive dining experiences.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a senior culinary role within a luxury hotel or fine‑dining establishment.
- Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Legal right to work in South Africa.
