About the role
Our client, a law firm based in Cape Town, is looking for a motivated Candidate Attorney to join their team on a two‑year contract. The role involves completing the practical vocational training required for articles of clerkship (DOCA) and will be based in KwaZulu‑Natal. The successful candidate will work full‑time, gaining hands‑on experience in various legal matters while supporting senior attorneys. Applicants must hold a completed LLB degree and possess a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle, as travel between offices may be required. This position offers a structured pathway to qualify as an attorney under South African law. The two‑year period is designed to fulfil the statutory articles requirement, after which the candidate may be considered for permanent employment based on performance. If shortlisted, a consultant will contact the candidate within two weeks; unsuccessful applicants will be notified and their CVs retained for future opportunities.
