About the role
Sanlam Life Ltd is a leading financial services provider in South Africa. The Business Manager – Brokers (PG12) will operate within the SanlamConnect structure for the Gauteng South Region, based in Bloemfontein, reporting to the Regional General Manager – Brokers. The role combines tactical sales leadership with strategic input as a member of the regional MANCO.
Key responsibilities
- Serve on the Regional MANCO and help shape the regional sales strategy.
- Translate regional strategy into operational sales targets and drive market‑share growth through Broker Consultants.
- Set and monitor sales and manpower targets, manage expenses and operational effectiveness.
- Lead marketing and business‑building initiatives and develop staff.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in financial services sales and marketing.
- Proven leadership of a sales/operational unit.
- Management diploma and a commercial/financial or business‑related degree.
- CFP/RFP3 qualification (or equivalent 120 credits).
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using web‑based platforms and advisor tools such as Sanfin, Leads program, SanQuote, Sanport.
- Familiarity with AUTONUB and MyWorkSpace applications.
