Business Development Manager – South Africa

About the role

Jeco Energies is seeking a commercially driven and technically minded Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across South Africa and selected African markets. You will focus on industrial rental solutions, identify new business opportunities, and position Jeco as a trusted energy‑solutions provider.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across South Africa and Africa.
• Expand Jeco's customer base and market presence through strategic growth initiatives.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
• Establish long‑term relationships with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, utilities, mining and industrial clients.
• Lead negotiations, prepare commercial proposals and support contract management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Operations and Finance to translate customer needs into commercial opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technical, Commercial, Business or Economic disciplines.
• Valid driver's licence and passport.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and industrial energy solutions.
• Proven business development and sales experience in industrial, energy or rental sectors.
• Experience managing commercial contracts and strong financial/commercial acumen.
• Ability to conduct market analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, standards and compliance requirements.
