Business Development Manager – Corporate Interior Design

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join a leading corporate interior design firm operating in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The role focuses on generating new project opportunities, building strategic relationships and representing the company within the built‑environment market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new corporate interior design projects and potential clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Network actively within the design, architecture, construction and property development sectors.
• Present the company’s services and capabilities to senior stakeholders and at industry events.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project hand‑overs and client satisfaction.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and contribute to growth targets.
• Monitor market trends and identify emerging opportunities in corporate interiors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within interior design, architecture, construction or property development.
• Strong understanding of design and construction procurement processes.
• Established industry network and excellent relationship‑building skills.
• Confident communicator with strong presentation abilities.
• Commercially minded with solid business acumen.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
