Broker Sales Manager – Southern Cape Region

About the role

This is a first‑line sales management position within Sanlam Life’s Southern Cape regional unit, focused on the broker channel. The Broker Sales Manager leads, supports and develops a team of Broker Consultants who market, sell and service panels of brokers. Reporting to the Business Manager, the role is part of the regional sales team and is responsible for driving sales, managing expenses and growing the broker base.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, select, onboard and coach Broker Consultants.
• Recruit, vet and contract new brokers.
• Create, monitor and report on sales plans, targets and growth.
• Support broker marketing initiatives and manage broker relationships.
• Oversee productivity, performance and compliance of the broker team.
• Manage budgets, expenses and service‑related escalations with head office.

Required profile

• Extensive financial services experience, with at least five years in a recent SanlamConnect environment (preferably as a Broker Consultant).
• Minimum three years of supervisory or managerial experience delivering results within set timeframes.
• Undergraduate or Honours tertiary degree.
