Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Wolmaranstad)

About the role

The Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor will promote Sanlam Retail Mass products, provide sound financial advice and deliver a high level of client service within a branch environment. The role focuses on increasing market share through cross‑selling and optimisation of client portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial advice and high‑quality service to branch clients.
• Identify client needs, recommend appropriate products and submit new business through correct channels.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of SRM product ranges and communicate changes to customers.
• Conduct due‑diligence, validate client details and flag any risks in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily appointments, walk‑in clients and follow‑up on payment reminders, NTUs and persistency.
• Handle policy cancellations, alternative payment arrangements and resolve client queries or escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, maintain records of advice and log activities for reporting.
• Report daily, weekly and monthly activity data using the branch’s technology platforms and support the Retail Branch Manager with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in sales or marketing; insurance branch experience is an advantage.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification; RE5 and FAIS compliance are advantageous.
• Willingness to complete Class of Business training within 12 months of employment.
• Strong client‑service orientation with the ability to manage multiple client profiles and follow‑up on payments.
