Back Office Developer

About the role

Tracker is looking for an Intermediate Back Office Developer to join the Back‑end Office team in Centurion. Reporting to the Team Lead, you will work on the Telematics Platform, adding new features and improving existing functionality while following Scrum Agile practices.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand‑ups, code reviews and testing of your own and teammates' code.
• Deploy new and enhanced features to production in a controlled manner.
• Meet best‑practice criteria for software testing and ensure work orders are completed on time.
• Maintain existing systems without introducing defects and enhance them to adopt new technologies.
• Document system changes and share knowledge with development and support teams.
• Follow department development standards and best‑practice processes.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with Scrum Agile methodology.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Good planning, organising and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to invest time in personal training aligned with the role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C (required) and exposure to C#.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS and Git.
• Relational database design and complex SQL query development.
• Familiarity with message‑queue technologies such as RabbitMQ, ApacheMQ or Kafka (advantageous).
• Multi‑threaded and parallel development experience (advantageous).
• Understanding of Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) designation (advantageous).
• Knowledge of SOLID, KISS, TDD, DDD and clean‑coding practices.
