ASC Charge Nurse – Surgery Center

About the role

The ASC Charge Nurse oversees the daily operations of an ambulatory surgery center, ensuring smooth scheduling of procedures, effective staff management, and optimal resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures and staff assignments.
• Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Oversee human resources functions, including credentialing and staff training.
• Support marketing initiatives, quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI), and risk management activities.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current state RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or basic EKG/arrhythmia identification certification.
• ASPAN membership preferred.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• EKG/arrhythmia identification certification (preferred).
