Application Portfolio Manager – Short Term Insurance Platform

About the role

The financial services firm is seeking an Application Portfolio Manager for its Short‑Term Insurance Platform. The role will lead the Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Delivery, Helpdesk, Testing and Desktop Support functions, aligning technology with business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Group direction.
• Lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of scalable, secure technology solutions, overseeing the software development lifecycle and system integrations.
• Manage operational stability of critical systems, including incident management, service delivery and production support.
• Establish data governance frameworks, oversee data architecture, quality and reporting, and support analytics for decision‑making.
• Provide executive oversight of cyber security, disaster recovery and technology risk, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a similar senior IT leadership role.
• Proven experience managing complex environments with automation and system integration focus.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and present to MANCO/EXCO level stakeholders.
• Strong vendor and service‑provider management background.
