Aftercare Assistant (Afternoons, School Holidays)

About the role

We are seeking a mature, vibrant and patient lady to join our school’s after‑care team on an afternoon‑only basis. The role includes supervising children during lunch, playtime and homework, and delivering a stimulating programme that supports their developmental needs. Availability for shift work during school holidays is required.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the lunchtime routine and ensure a safe environment.
• Implement a varied, age‑appropriate programme to meet children’s developmental needs.
• Oversee children during playtime and other scheduled activities.
• Assist children with homework and provide academic support.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• Previous childcare or after‑care experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
• Good communication skills.
• Non‑smoker with sober habits.
• Available to start immediately.
• Not open to parents or family members of the school.
