Accountant – Boksburg (Johannesburg)

About the role

The client is looking for a dedicated Accountant to join their finance team in Boksburg, Johannesburg. This full‑time position involves managing the complete accounting cycle, supporting both debtor and creditor functions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile all debtor transactions, including invoicing, collections and account reconciliations.
• Handle creditor duties such as supplier invoice processing, payment scheduling and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform month‑end closing activities.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Matriculation and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role covering both debtors and creditors.
• High level of accuracy, strong analytical ability and capacity to work independently under deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage 50c (experience with Sage 1 is an advantage).

• Competitive salary ranging from R30 000 to R40 000 per month.
