Training Practitioner – SLS SanlamConnect

About the role

The Training Practitioner will ensure that staff are functionally trained and competent to deliver the work coming into the team. You will maintain and update all training material, check‑lists and guide forms, and support quality evaluations where required.

Key responsibilities

• Update and maintain training content, check‑lists, and guide forms.
• Execute quality evaluations and support the Team Manager in service sustainability and succession planning.
• Manage knowledge in the REMS team via the Compass tool, including regular updates and data mining.
• Design, implement and deliver learning solutions aligned with business strategy.
• Consult with stakeholders to identify learning and development needs.
• Administer the Workplace Skills Plan and coordinate external training interventions.
• Facilitate onboarding programmes and continuous upskilling initiatives.
• Plan, organise and communicate learning events and interventions.

Required profile

• Proven ability to design, implement and deliver effective learning solutions.
• Strong focus on learner engagement, continuous improvement and measurable performance outcomes.
• Experience consulting with business stakeholders to identify training needs.
• Capability to develop practical, learner‑focused training and support materials.
• Ability to design pre‑ and post‑learning assessments to gauge effectiveness.
• Comfort with both classroom‑based and virtual learning environments.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching and post‑training support skills.
