Test Engineer – R&D Integration

About the role
An established speciality manufacturer with a global export footprint is looking for a Test Engineer to join its R&D Integration team in Cape Town. You will work on live application equipment, conduct thorough testing, and turn the results into actionable recommendations for R&D and production.
Key responsibilities
- Design and run performance, durability and compatibility tests.
- Operate and maintain application and test equipment.
- Analyse test results and produce clear reports.
- Collaborate with R&D, production and quality teams to resolve product and equipment issues.
Required profile
- BEng or BSc in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in testing or engineering (preferred).
- Familiarity with industrial application technologies and materials.
- Attention to detail in recording results and tracing faults to root cause.
Required skills
- Proficiency with laboratory test equipment and methods.
- Advanced Excel for data analysis.
- Experience in test documentation and traceability.
