Stock Controller – Dry Stores (Olifantsfontein)

About the role

We are seeking an organised and detail‑driven Stock Controller for dry stores in Olifantsfontein. The role is critical to ensure that all goods are received, quality‑checked, stored correctly and made available to support the fast‑paced restaurant and hospitality wholesale business.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and quality‑check all incoming goods, verify lot or batch numbers and ensure proper marking before storage.
• Coordinate movement of stock to the correct departments and handle customer returns according to company procedures.
• Maintain daily stock taking, monitor expiry dates, and order dry‑goods stock as required.
• Participate in weekly planning meetings with Production and Operations managers and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Implement housekeeping standards in the dry‑goods area, keep the receiving door closed, and reduce wastage and damage.
• Assist with month‑end stock take and report any shortfalls in goods received immediately to the Production Manager.

Required profile

• Matriculation (Grade 12) is essential.
• Self‑driven, highly organised and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and high energy work ethic.
• Computer literacy with solid knowledge of standard office applications.
• Male, younger than 35 years.
