Statutory & Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong and detail‑oriented Statutory & Tax Accountant to join our global finance team. You will ensure accurate statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions while supporting tax compliance, audit coordination, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical accounting research and assess the impact of new standards.
• Perform tax research (Corporate Tax, WHT, VAT/GST) across jurisdictions and advise the business.
• Manage statutory reporting and filings with local regulatory authorities.
• Prepare standalone and consolidated statutory financial statements.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax returns and support statutory audits.
• Oversee transfer pricing and management fee calculations.
• Manage external service providers for tax and statutory compliance.
• Maintain tax‑related accounting systems and ensure data integrity.
• Monitor compliance costs and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Contribute to finance process improvements and documentation of controls.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Financial Accounting or Taxation.
• CTA or Honours degree; CA(SA) or Master’s in Taxation is advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years post‑articles experience with exposure to corporate tax, WHT, VAT and GST.
• Experience in reconciliations, reporting and audit support.
• Experience in a multi‑entity or international environment is a plus.
