Staff Accountant – Remote (PST Hours)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing, US‑based company seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support our financial operations remotely. The successful candidate will work during Pacific Standard Time business hours and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and periodic reports.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial planning initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to uphold financial accuracy and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Availability to work during PST business hours.

Required skills

• Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable ERP systems (MRI, Realpage, Appfolio, Entrata).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
