Solution Architect

About the role

The Solution Architect will serve as a trusted technical advisor for SUSE’s customers and partners, ensuring that the company’s open-source solutions are aligned with both business objectives and technical requirements. Working closely with regional sales, partner, and customer-success teams, the role drives technical excellence throughout the sales cycle and positions SUSE as a leading innovator in the enterprise space.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their technical and business challenges, building strong advisory relationships.
• Conduct assessments to identify gaps and opportunities, tailoring SUSE solutions to immediate and future needs.
• Lead the technical aspects of deal progression, from qualification through closure, including product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback to Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams, influencing roadmap and feature development.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, Partner Ecosystem, and Customer Success to create account plans that drive solution adoption and satisfaction.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategies, marketing content, technical speaking engagements, and booth demonstrations.
• Analyze competitor offerings and help develop differentiation strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience acting as a technical advisor or solution architect in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Track record of influencing product development through customer insights.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements and events.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of SUSE Linux Suite, Rancher Suite, Edge Suite, and AI Suite.
• Experience delivering product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations.
• Ability to assess technical architectures and design tailored solutions.
