Social Media & Creative Partner Intern

About the role

Join Greenpeace Africa as a Social Media & Creative Partner Intern and support high‑impact digital campaigns across multiple platforms. You will help foster community dialogue, amplify environmental storytelling, and protect the organisation’s brand integrity while collaborating with artists, activists and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to comments on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp and email inbox (English).
• Apply moderation guidelines, hide or report content, and escalate sensitive issues to digital, communications and campaign leads.
• Identify trends, misinformation or high‑risk conversations and flag them appropriately.
• Compile a weekly insights snapshot covering themes, risks and wins.
• Co‑create content with allied organisations, community influencers and environmental activists for joint campaign moments.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with micro‑influencers, artists and creators aligned with Greenpeace Africa’s values.
• Support planning and promotion of digital storytelling initiatives with creative partners.
• Assist in drafting partnership briefs, coordinating content timelines and monitoring partner content performance.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in communications, media, politics or social sciences.
• Available to work 20‑25 hours per week and start immediately.
• Strong interest in environmental issues and digital activism.
