About the role
The Senior Vendor Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation's vendor and partner network, ensuring high‑quality delivery, sound commercial agreements and efficient use of client funds. Reporting to the Head of Department, the role works closely with marketing, finance, procurement and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of vendors, partners and contractors, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Conduct regular vendor reviews to monitor performance, delivery and compliance.
- Lead vendor onboarding and ensure effective set‑up of new partners.
- Monitor utilisation of client and departmental funds, track spend against budgets and support financial reporting.
- Develop costings, business cases and financial forecasts for vendor activities.
- Draft and maintain Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly define scope, deliverables, timelines and pricing.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance to formalise agreements and support contract negotiations.
- Act as deputy to the Head of Department, supporting team initiatives and guiding other Vendor Account Managers.
- Improve vendor management processes, reporting frameworks and performance tracking.
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external vendors, providing regular updates on performance and financial utilisation.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing vendors, suppliers or agency partners.
- Strong financial awareness with experience handling budgets or vendor spend.
- Experience working with procurement and finance teams on contracts and agreements.
- Ability to manage commercial conversations and negotiations with vendors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
