Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential Property Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential property developer in the Northern Suburbs of Gauteng. You will manage the full quantity surveying lifecycle on large‑scale residential projects, from inception to handover, ensuring financial control and project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full quantity surveying functions on residential developments.
• Develop cost plans, estimates and maintain budget control.
• Adjudicate tenders and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Prepare and administer payment certificates, valuations and progress payments.
• Monitor project profitability and produce financial reports.
• Conduct site measurements, progress evaluations and ensure alignment with programme targets.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and internal project teams.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction or property development.
• Strong residential building project experience.
• Proven ability to manage project costs, budgets, procurement and subcontractor accounts.
• Excellent communication, reporting and contractual management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
