SCASS II Technician – Booysendal South, Limpopo

About the role

The SCASS II Technician will provide comprehensive technical services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electronic technology used for health, safety and productivity in the mining sector at Booysendal South.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, certify and support electronic products and systems to the highest technical and safety standards on the assigned mine.
• Set up and test units to meet specified requirements and perform quality checks in line with company policy.
• Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions or escalate to senior staff.
• Maintain electronic equipment and software according to company standards and client scope of work.
• Report and record maintenance requirements and assist with new projects.
• Operate hand tools and small power tools safely and maintain good housekeeping.
• Liaise with other technical staff and on‑site customers to ensure quality, safety and contractual compliance.
• Provide regular feedback to the Technical Coordinator and Supervisor and support senior technicians on assignments.
• Develop customer relations and complete required documentation, reports and paperwork.

Required skills

• N5 qualification in Electrical/Electronics.
• Minimum 4 years experience with electronics hardware, software and IT hardware, networks and software.
• Knowledge of the Advantage product line.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver’s licence.
