Retail Designer - Creative Advertising Agency

About the role

A small, tight-knit creative advertising agency in Cape Town, part of a renowned global group with an integrated full-service offering, is looking for a Retail Designer (also described as Designer and Art Director for conceptual instore installations and brand product launches). The role is hybrid and sits at mid-senior level, working across retail and brand activations.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams spanning strategy, creative, account management and production, helping bring campaigns to life across multiple platforms and touchpoints. The agency values curiosity, creativity and collaboration, and offers creative ownership and room for professional growth.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Visual Communication.
• Strong understanding of design principles, craft and creative processes.
• Proactive communicator who can articulate ideas clearly and confidently.
• Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for creativity.
• Experience contributing to, and ideally helping to win, client pitches.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a willingness to keep technical skills evolving.
• Conceptual thinking, a sharp visual eye and a genuine passion for design craft.
