Research Pharmacist (2-year Fixed-Term)

About the role

The Desmond Tutu Health Foundation (DTHF) is seeking a Research Pharmacist to join its Centre for Adherence and Therapeutics. This is a two‑year fixed‑term position focused on supporting the Clinical Research Site Leader in maintaining high‑quality study documentation, data, and regulatory files.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day quality control of all study documentation to ensure compliance with protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and site SOPs.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date regulatory files and data records.
• Assist the Clinical Research Site Leader in preparing reports and submissions.
• Coordinate with study team members to monitor documentation timelines and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits and inspections by providing required documentation and evidence of compliance.

Required profile

• Pharmacy degree (BPharm or equivalent) with a strong interest in clinical research.
• Experience in a clinical research environment or similar setting.
• Good understanding of GCP, regulatory requirements and SOP adherence.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
