Research Nurse

About the role

The Research Nurse delivers professional nursing support for both outpatient and inpatient participants involved in clinical studies. The role ensures safe, compliant, and high‑quality care throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to adult, adolescent and paediatric participants, including medical history taking, vital‑sign monitoring, physical examinations and blood sampling.
• Administer study medication, vaccines and other products, and conduct adherence counselling.
• Obtain and document informed consent, complete case‑report forms and behavioural questionnaires, and perform daily quality checks on data.
• Monitor adverse events, concomitant medication and participant safety in collaboration with the research clinician.
• Manage participant screening, enrolment, follow‑up visits (on‑site and off‑site) and overnight study visits as required.
• Liaise with local clinical service providers, educate staff and participants on infection‑control SOPs, and oversee procurement, stock control and waste disposal in line with regulatory standards.
• Report daily/weekly activity to the Study Coordinator and meet query‑resolution targets.

Required profile

• Registered nursing background with experience in clinical research settings.
• Ability to follow study protocols, obtain informed consent and document participant information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to participant safety.

Required skills

• Blood draw and biological sample collection.
• Administration of medication and vaccines.
• Use of case‑report forms and data entry tools.
