About the role
The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests at a hospitality establishment in Lephalale. You will manage front‑desk operations, handle reservations and provide courteous service to ensure a positive first impression.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests, assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures.
- Manage room reservations and update booking systems.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and guest enquiries.
- Provide information on hotel services, facilities and local attractions.
- Handle guest complaints, resolve issues efficiently and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate guest records, process payments, invoices and receipts.
- Prepare daily reports and coordinate communication between departments.
- Handle cash and card payments, balance cash drawers and keep financial records.
- Follow health, safety and security procedures and report emergencies.
Required profile
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate; hospitality or office administration qualification is advantageous.
- 1–2 years experience in reception, customer service or hospitality.
- Friendly, professional appearance with reliable and trustworthy attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure, team player with a positive attitude.
Required skills
- Computer literacy and knowledge of reservation systems.
- Cash handling and basic financial procedures.
