Quantity Surveyor – Gauteng

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Gauteng. The role involves preparing cost estimates, managing construction revenue and costs, and administering contracts to ensure projects are delivered on budget and in compliance with legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and certify project work throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Manage cash flow and maintain financial control over project budgets.
• Ensure all contractual and legal obligations are met.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans.
• Lead and guide project staff, fostering effective teamwork.
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular financial and progress reports.

Required profile

• BSc, BTech or NDip in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, insurance, and quantity surveying principles.
• Understanding of basic financial reporting, construction methods, programming and scheduling.
• Familiarity with SHEQ legislation and basic industrial relations and labour legislation.
