Quantitative Analyst Consultant – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

A leading global markets bank is hiring two Quantitative Analyst Consultants on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work at the intersection of trading, technology and risk, helping to design, optimise and monitor quantitative models and trading strategies for complex financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyse and document non‑linear trading functionality and its business application.
• Assess and quantify financial risks, costs and uncertainty factors.
• Lead solution design for future trading integration, leveraging APIs and backend systems.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of ongoing projects.
• Provide expert support, insights and training to internal teams and platform users.
• Conduct product reviews and enhancements to align with evolving market demands.

Required profile

• BSc in Mathematical Sciences, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science/Financial Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications such as CQF, CFA or FRM.
• Strong experience in cross‑asset trading & risk, derivatives trading (especially volatility products) and X‑valuations.
• Proven ability to analyse complex systems and deliver robust solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Python, C++, C#, SQL, VBA, R, Matlab, Java.
• Trading platforms: Front Arena, Murex, Calypso.
• API integration and backend system design.
• Quantitative analysis and risk analytics.
