Professor / Associate Professor – Chemistry Department

About the role

The Department of Chemistry seeks qualified candidates for senior academic positions (Professor or Associate Professor). The role combines teaching, research, and community engagement, with the possibility of departmental leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in analytical chemistry and related topics.
• Supervise Master’s and Doctoral students to successful completion.
• Develop and lead research programmes in analytical chemistry, securing external funding.
• Contribute to departmental, faculty and university governance, including potential Head of Department duties.
• Engage with the wider community through outreach and professional activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry.
• Extensive teaching experience in analytical chemistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Proven record of supervising Master’s and Doctoral theses.
• National or international research profile with publications and successful grant acquisition.
• Experience in academic administration, management or leadership.
