Production Supervisor III

About the role

PepsiCo South Africa is seeking a Production Supervisor III to lead a team of skilled and semi‑skilled employees in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining product quality, optimizing production processes, and ensuring a safe, hygienic workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production and assembly operations, ensuring adherence to quality parameters.
• Train controllers and junior supervisors on processes and safety standards.
• Monitor and report product quality and production metrics.
• Optimize the use of people, plant, machinery, and equipment to improve efficiency.
• Control raw material stock levels and manage inventory cycles.
• Enforce health, safety, and hygiene compliance throughout the facility.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing production team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in manufacturing or operations within the FMCG sector.
• Degree or National Diploma in Production/Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of food manufacturing processes, preventive maintenance, and safety regulations.
• Experience with structured stock‑take, cycle counts, and bill‑of‑materials (BOM) adherence.
