Procurement Commercial Lead – Marketing & Media

About the role

AB InBev is seeking a strategic and commercially driven leader to head procurement for Marketing & Media categories across Africa. The role combines procurement expertise with marketing insight to drive value creation and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement for Media, Agencies & Production, Print, POCM & Sales programmes, Experiential Marketing, Sponsorships and Events across the continent.
• Develop and execute category strategies that unlock value and support brand growth.
• Act as senior commercial partner to Marketing, Commercial and Finance leaders in the zone.
• Manage a high‑performing procurement team (3 direct reports) while remaining hands‑on in key categories.
• Drive innovation, supplier partnerships and sustainability initiatives.
• Deliver measurable impact through strategic sourcing, governance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven procurement leadership experience, preferably with regional or global categories.
• 3+ years of people‑management experience leading teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and contract‑management expertise.
• Experience in Marketing & Media procurement (agencies, production, sponsorships) is highly advantageous.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior leadership.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, pan‑African environment.
