Process Engineer II – Wax FT Synthesis

About the role

The Process Engineer II will apply established process engineering expertise to support the safe, stable and efficient operation of the Wax FT Synthesis units. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance and Technical Support, the role focuses on delivering production targets while protecting asset integrity and meeting governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor process performance, analyse data and resolve deviations to ensure stable operation of Wax FT Synthesis units.
• Lead technical investigations for complex or recurring process issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Identify, develop and deliver value‑adding process improvement initiatives to enhance cost, reliability, safety and environmental performance.
• Conduct hard wax value chain loss accounting (OEE) and translate losses into structured improvement plans.
• Provide process engineering input for the Volume Protection Plan and production scheduling, assessing risks to planned volumes.
• Own technical scope for small‑ to medium‑scale plant modifications and improvement projects, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
• Support shutdown and turnaround activities through technical scoping and execution.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with experience in process engineering within a chemical or energy environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to drive operational improvements.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to manage multiple technical projects and deliver results on schedule.
