ONCS Team Lead – Logistics & Operations

About the role

The ONCS Team Lead will head the operational, logistical and service delivery functions of the ONCS Pretoria team. The role ensures timely set delivery, optimal inventory and fleet utilization, and strict compliance with ISO standards while supporting business continuity for surgical and trauma demands.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the ONCS Pretoria operations team, including Loan Set Controllers, Loan Set Clerk and Drivers, with shift rotation as needed.
• Plan and execute set deliveries aligned with elective surgery and trauma schedules.
• Support inventory management by confirming product usage, reporting damaged instruments and flagging low stock.
• Implement and roll‑out digital projects to improve processes.
• Optimise reverse logistics to reduce turnaround time and improve set utilisation.
• Consolidate deliveries and collections to lower operational costs.
• Control logistics expenses, including overnight and emergency deliveries.
• Maintain ISO‑compliant SOPs, generate performance reports and ensure fleet readiness.

Required profile

• Matric certificate and a Diploma in Warehouse & Distribution Management.
• Minimum 3–4 years logistics or supply‑chain management experience in the MedTech industry.
• Proven experience leading a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and numerical skills.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, move and lift products in a warehouse environment.
