Occupational Health Nurse (3-Year Fixed-Term Contract)

About the role

We are seeking qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurses to join our team on a 3‑year fixed‑term contract based in Somerset West, Western Cape. The role involves conducting medical surveillance, health assessments and managing occupational health documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical surveillance and health assessments
• Perform spirometry, audiometry, vision screening, and other occupational health evaluations
• Manage and administer COID claims and Injury‑on‑Duty documentation
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding COID matters and reporting
• Maintain accurate medical records and reports
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Provide health education and promotion in the workplace
• Liaise with management and external stakeholders as required

Required profile

• Registered Occupational Health Nurse with a current SANC registration
• Relevant occupational health qualifications and certifications
• Previous experience in occupational health nursing
• Experience in COID administration and Injury‑on‑Duty case management (advantageous)
• Candidates not registered as Occupational Health Nurses will not be considered
