About the role
This position offers an experienced National Key Account Manager the chance to lead a major retail client portfolio for a respected brand. You will drive strategic growth, optimise pricing and trading terms, and build lasting high‑value relationships in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase sales, profitability and long‑term partnerships.
- Manage overall sales performance for assigned national key accounts, meeting revenue and margin targets.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, promotions and trading agreements.
- Monitor sales data, forecasts, market trends and account profitability to uncover growth opportunities.
- Control budgets, trade investments, discounts and discretionary spend in line with financial goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure effective implementation of promotional and pricing strategies across all accounts.
- Conduct regular account reviews, performance meetings and business presentations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise supply chain, forecasting and operational efficiency.
- Identify continuous improvement, cost‑saving initiatives and market penetration opportunities.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, processes and quality standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales or a related commercial field.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- 6–8 years of experience in key account management within a retail environment.
