Multi-Skilled Maintenance Handyman (JHB & Pretoria)

About the role

We are seeking a practical, reliable and experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Handyman to support our corporate retail stores in Johannesburg and Pretoria. The role focuses on day‑to‑day store maintenance, ensuring each location remains operational, safe and presentable. This is a 3‑month fixed‑term pilot contract with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• General store maintenance and repairs
• Door, lock and hinge repairs
• Roller shutter adjustments and repairs
• Basic carpentry and hardware repairs
• Lighting and minor electrical repairs
• Ceiling tile and minor tiling repairs
• Minor plumbing repairs
• General wear‑and‑tear maintenance
• Identifying maintenance issues before they become major problems
• Maintaining good workmanship and turnaround times
• Completing job cards, photos and maintenance reporting

Required profile

• Proven handyman or general maintenance experience
• Experience in retail, commercial or property maintenance environments
• Basic problem‑solving ability and independent work style
• Valid driver’s licence
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and professional attitude
