Maintenance Artisan Electrician – Preventive & Reactive

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Artisan Electrician to safely perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on surface and plant electrical equipment. The role involves following work orders, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment and quality standards, and supporting plant reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and reactive maintenance tasks according to documented work orders and task lists.
• Perform isolation, lock‑out/tag‑out and risk assessments before any intervention.
• Conduct electrical fault finding, live testing and root‑cause analysis on equipment and machinery.
• Record all actions, generate notifications and update the SAP maintenance system.
• Communicate any missing spares, equipment or discrepancies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Manage rotable items, including change‑out and transport of damaged parts.
• Adhere to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) standards and statutory regulations.
• Support unplanned breakdowns and planned interventions, ensuring timely hand‑over to production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance or a similar trade.
• Understanding of safety legislation, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and SHEQ requirements.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication skills to report findings and coordinate with supervisors.

Required skills
