Lecturer – School of Commerce

About the role

STADIO Higher Education is seeking a dedicated Lecturer for the School of Commerce to teach Economics at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lectures, manage assessments and support student learning both on‑campus and online.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Economics modules to undergraduate students using a learning management system.
• Develop and compile teaching, learning and assessment materials in collaboration with the Module Coordinator.
• Mark and grade formative and summative assessments, ensuring timely feedback.
• Take attendance, report to line manager and complete internal moderation reports where required.
• Provide academic support through communication platforms, addressing student queries and concerns.
• Participate in compulsory school and campus meetings and fulfil administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• An NQF Level 8 qualification in Economics or Commerce (NQF Level 9 preferred).
• Minimum three years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution.
• Strong knowledge of South African economic frameworks and ability to apply them to real‑world business contexts.
• Experience in online and blended teaching environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course delivery.
