Last Mile Operations Supervisor

About the role

Amazon is seeking a hands‑on Operations Supervisor to lead its Last Mile Operations at a delivery station in South Africa. You will be at the core of the customer experience, ensuring packages move efficiently from fulfillment centres to customers’ doorsteps while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound package flow, sortation accuracy and staging for dispatch.
• Plan and adjust labour deployment against volume forecasts.
• Resolve real‑time bottlenecks and uphold safety and quality standards on the floor.
• Track delivery metrics such as success rate, concessions and on‑time performance.
• Lead daily stand‑ups and operational reporting.
• Partner with transportation planning teams on capacity and demand alignment.
• Contribute to peak‑readiness, contingency planning and new process launches.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation or warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to manage teams in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
• Flexibility to adjust working schedule during launch and peak periods.

Required skills

• Experience with operational reporting and metric tracking.
• Ability to use standard office tools for planning and communication.
