KYC Team Leader - Compliance & AML Expert

About the Role

Join the PwC South Africa Technology and Innovation Centre (SATIC), a human-centric and technology-driven delivery hub dedicated to solving complex global challenges. As a KYC Team Leader based in Durban, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory excellence by supervising a dedicated cell of analysts and quality controllers.

Main Missions

• Supervise daily operations, including task allocation and workflow management for analysts and quality controllers.
• Provide continuous coaching, mentorship, and technical support to team members to foster professional growth.
• Monitor team performance through detailed Management Information (MI) reporting and KPIs.
• Ensure strict adherence to PwC's minimum KYC requirements and evolving regulatory standards.
• Manage delivery risks and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to streamline compliance processes.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a high-volume production environment.
• Deep understanding of KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) processes.
• Strong expertise in risk management and international compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on quality control and process improvement.
• Strong communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations and lead diverse teams.
