About the role
Roche Diagnostics is looking for a Key Account Manager focused on Histology and Sequencing to drive growth in the Western Cape and beyond. You will develop account and portfolio strategies, secure sales opportunities, and build strong relationships with executive decision‑makers in the diagnostic and medical sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Engage with customers at Roche and industry events to identify and connect with key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed account maps, including formal and informal decision‑makers.
- Extract and analyse sales data at the portfolio level, identify trends, and provide monthly insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, etc.) to align on account strategies and address customer queries.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, competitors, and market dynamics.
- Implement account and portfolio strategies, expanding Roche’s footprint within existing clients and acquiring new ones.
- Identify and develop sales opportunities, prepare proposals, and present solutions to customers.
- Lead and support campaign execution in targeted market segments.
Required profile
- Commercial experience in the diagnostic or medical industry.
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives and decision‑makers.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience analysing sales data and market trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the Western Cape and to other provinces as needed.
