IT System Administrator – Network & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology System Administrator to oversee our entire network and infrastructure while mentoring junior staff. The role sits within a larger IT team and requires a proactive approach to system reliability and future architecture planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage datacentre servers, storage and virtualization platforms (DELL, HP, Hyper‑V).
• Administer network equipment including switches, controllers and WLAN solutions (HPE, Ubiquiti, Aruba).
• Maintain security infrastructure such as firewalls, endpoint protection and mail filtering (Checkpoint, Mimecast, Microsoft).
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
• Produce management reports and draft communications for executive committees.
• Support change management processes and contribute to future system architecture design.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a system administrator with the ability to lead junior staff.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to quickly identify and resolve errors.
• Excellent written communication for executive‑level correspondence.
• Willingness to complete required certifications and client‑specific training within agreed timeframes.
