IT Installer (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are a well‑established manufacturing company seeking a structured, detail‑oriented IT Installer to support our daily IT operations. The role involves installing, terminating and testing network and fibre cabling, as well as mounting and connecting various hardware devices across our sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test CAT6 fibre cabling according to industry standards.
• Pull, route, label and secure cables, and terminate them in patch panels, cabinets and equipment rooms.
• Mount and connect devices such as CCTV cameras, Wi‑Fi access points, network switches and network cabinets.
• Diagnose and repair technical faults in cabling, hardware devices or system configurations.
• Support daily IT operations, handling hardware equipment and maintaining clean IT areas.
• Assist with hardware collection, physical inspections and stock‑control management.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment and inventory stock levels.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in an IT environment.
• At least 2 years direct exposure to IT hardware, network infrastructure, CCTV and fibre installation.
• National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a calm demeanor.
