Internal Control Manager

About the role

The Internal Control Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of a robust internal control environment across the organization. This role ensures that policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks protect assets, guarantee accurate financial reporting, and align with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an effective, efficient, and sustainable internal control environment.
• Facilitate regular meetings with Finance and Operations to communicate, track, and report corporate control metrics.
• Develop, deploy, and monitor the Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance plan through the Control Testing Campaign (MCRP) process.
• Identify, report, and manage control deficiencies, including training functional leaders on MCRP requirements.
• Create and follow up on Operation Identified Comments (OIC) and corrective action plans.
• Interpret global policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Perform process reviews, evaluate controls, map processes, and report findings.
• Coordinate with external partners such as PwC, the General Auditor's Office, and the Office of the General Counsel.
• Deploy new internal control initiatives and mentor operational areas on policy adherence.
• Monitor compliance, investigate alleged violations, and provide regular reports to senior management and corporate committees.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing internal control environments and SOX compliance.
• Strong ability to facilitate training and communicate control requirements.
• Experience developing corrective action plans and tracking their implementation.
• Capability to perform detailed process reviews and control assessments.
• Effective collaboration with internal and external audit partners.
