Intellectual Property Secretary (IP)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized Intellectual Property Secretary to support our legal team in Bellville. The role focuses on managing trademark portfolios and ensuring compliance with IP regulations. You will act as a key liaison between clients and the IP office, safeguarding valuable brand assets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the renewal process for registered trademarks.
• Maintain accurate records of client trademark portfolios.
• Track important deadlines and monitor application timelines.
• Prepare and file trademark applications.
• Conduct trademark searches and ensure compliance with IP office rules.
• Provide proactive advice to clients on protecting and maintaining trademarks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trademark administration.
• Strong knowledge of trademark law and procedures.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
