Housekeeping Manager for Luxury Safari Lodge

About the role

Welgevonden Game Reserve is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead housekeeping operations across two exclusive safari lodges. This hands‑on role ensures five‑star cleanliness and guest satisfaction for 15 luxury suites in a remote, high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping activities at both lodge sites.
• Maintain premium standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and control of housekeeping supplies and amenities.
• Prepare departmental reports and support guest invoicing processes.
• Create and manage staff rosters, schedules, and performance monitoring.
• Train, motivate, and develop housekeeping team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a luxury lodge or high‑end hotel.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to five‑star standards.
• Ability to operate across multiple lodge locations.
• Professional, adaptable personality suited to a dynamic management team.

Required skills

• Stock control and inventory management.
• Ordering and supply chain coordination for housekeeping items.
• Guest invoicing support and departmental reporting.

• Salary range R10,000 – R14,000 per month (DOE).
