Health & Safety Controller

About the role

The Health & Safety Controller will join the Elgin team at Coca‑Cola Beverages Africa, reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health and safety compliance across all sites.
• Identify workplace risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits.
• Support incident reporting and investigation processes.
• Coordinate safety training programmes for employees.
• Manage contractor safety performance.
• Apply regulatory and KORE standards.
• Record safety data and report key performance indicators.
• Provide emergency response support.
• Drive continuous safety improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Reports to the Health & Safety Manager.
• Experience in health and safety compliance monitoring.
• Ability to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
• Proven capability to conduct safety inspections and audits.
• Experience supporting incident investigations and reporting.
• Skills in coordinating safety training and managing contractor safety.
