About the role
The Financial Surveillance Administrator supports the senior signing official and department manager in day‑to‑day financial surveillance operations. The role focuses on capturing and processing BOP and IVS reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and handling non‑complex applications and queries from branches and back‑office teams.
Key responsibilities
- Provide input to the unit’s budget, monitor day‑to‑day expenses and pursue cost‑saving initiatives.
- Process and invoice BOP penalty fees and other application fees, ensuring timely collection from branches and customers.
- Handle internal client queries on financial surveillance matters, maintain relationships with retail networks and back‑office, and communicate regulatory changes.
- Capture, verify and reconcile basic financial surveillance transactions, including SARB exception reporting and Omnibus/Old TC applications.
- Assist senior signing officials with documentation for emigration processes and ensure accurate reporting on the Financial Surveillance System (FRS).
Required profile
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent certificate.
- At least 1 year of foreign‑exchange experience in a similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established service level agreements.
Required skills
- Financial surveillance system (FRS) usage.
- Experience with Merlin and Opics reporting tools.
